My Yoga experience in Hongik My name is Ilanit **** and I came from Israel to Korea with my husband 3 years ago. We came here in order to establish a branch of New Acropolis : an International organization for Philosophy, Culture and Volunteering. At the same time we both working in different companies and learning the Korean language. It¡¯s been more than 1 year that I¡¯m practicing Yoga in Hongik Institution. When I just came to Hongik, I thought to myself that probably I couldn¡¯t come regularly, because of my work time, because of my Korean study, because I have to prepare lectures, etc. It was obvious for me that these were only excuses, and that if I will find within myself a strong Will I will also find the time to do it. After a few weeks of experience the Yoga in Hongik, It was easy to find this Will. It was easy because I found great teachers that not only teach the Yoga technique in a very professional way, but also give a warm treatment and special attention to every one of the students! For me, the Yoga became an integral part of my life. Even if I busy, I find the time to practice twice in a week. I feel that through the Yoga, I can experience the silence around and within myself, and in that way I can give to my body and to my soul the essential food that they need. The meaning of the word ¡®Yoga¡¯ in Sanskrit is ¡®Union¡¯. A Union of Harmony between the Body, the Soul and the Mind. It is difficult to achieve this state of consciousness, but Hongik is definitely a place were you can come closer to this inner state. Although I¡¯m not leaving the place, I want to use this opportunity to thank to the wonderful team of Hongik. For their wonderful hospitality, for the warm atmosphere and for being a great example of living life in Harmony. June 2016 Ilanit **** |
